Michelangelo would like to give back

SA Harvest is taking a revolutionary approach to ending hunger by addressing the systemic causes and leveraging innovative technology, while simultaneously tackling the immediate need through the effective solution of rescuing nutritious food and delivering it where it’s needed most. Since inception in October 2019, SA Harvest has rescued over 6,4 million kilograms of food from ending up in landfill, and delivered the equivalent of more than 21,3 million meals to food-vulnerable communities all over South Africa. In South Africa, 20 million people go to sleep hungry every day, while 13 million tonnes of food goes to waste every year. SA Harvest’s cost per meal is just R1,60, which means that even a small donation makes a big impact. Every R100 donated puts a meal in 62 hungry tummies.
