Herbal/Spiced/Botanical Liqueurs

An excellent ripe example of this popular Bordeaux variety. The wine is a lovely blend of fruit, oak, and tannin. Full bodied for a merlot, yet soft and juicy with subtle tobacco characters on the nose and palate. There are notes of cherries and ripe plums with a hint of chocolate. The tannin structure is quite firm for a merlot and we expect the wine to age well because of this.

Great drinking with a range of meat and pasta dishes but ideal with a braai or even duck. Ready for immediate drinking, but will benefit from 1-4 years cellaring.
