“Idelia” meaning “Nobility”, captures the depth and complexity of each noble grape variety. This masterful Cape Blend of older bush vines reflects and elegant, multi-dimensional wine that displays the true characteristics of the Swartland region’s terroir. This well-structured wine is made from 40 year old dry-land bush vines are that give low yields, offer high concentration of rich, ripe dark fruit and spicy aromas, combined with the smokiness of 12 - 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Intense ripe dark fruit on the nose combines well with blackberry, cassis and cherry flavours and underlying delicate spice and cedar aromas from the new French oak. A well-integrated, extremely complex and elegantly balanced Cape blend.
Enjoy with any meat/game barbeque, robust, rich and meaty pastas, stick-to-the-ribs stews, grilled sausages or hard yellow cheeses with a sharpness.
