Pinotage

Grapes from a designated block of Pinotage grown on a westerly facing slope on Jakkalsvlei is selected for this wine. Lower down slightly higher than the base of the valley with decomposed sandstone soil. This vineyard grows in very heterogeneous soils consisting of a section of higher yielding vines lower down giving the wine softness and elegance and vines bearing smaller bunches higher up to give the wine ripe concentrated fruit flavours and length.
