Dry Chenin Blanc (<5g/l or up to 9g/l if TA <2g/l lower) () Barrel fermented/barrel matured/wooded (staves, chips or wood rice) 2020 and older
Pale straw colour with a beautiful
brilliance and youthful lime green edge.
The wine displays attractive notes of
granadilla, white peach and a hint of
fine herbs and honeycomb which follow
through on the palate. The palate persists
to a pleasantly lingering end with a fresh
lime aftertaste. A medium bodied wine,
well rounded with a good energy about it.
The creamy mouthfeel, refreshing crisp
acidity and touching delicate elegance
ensures that the wine will show well with
cellaring. It will show optimally when
decanted if opened within the first
three years after bottling. Best served
10 - 12˚C.
Albertus Viljoen Chenin Blanc pairs good with Coconut Curry fish or Saffron Mussel Bisque.
