Inviting array of dark fruits, graphite, clove and tea leave aromas on the nose, underpinned by a subtle whiff of iodine. The palate has a lovely sweet-fruited core of ripe plums, with muscular tannins and a bright seam of acidity to hold everything in place. Notes of marzipan lingering on the long, dry finish. This wine exhibits the complexity and finesse of the 2017 vintage. Maturation potential → 2027.
