Agave/Mezcal () Agave/Mezcal Aged
Reposado Agave spirits are typically aged for a minimum of two months up to one year in oak barrels, which gives it a golden color and a richer, more complex flavor profile. Our reposado is aged for 3 months in recycled bourbon barrels offering a unique flavour profile to the spirit.
The Reposado has a fuller body, which means it feels more substantial and rich in your mouth. This creates a smooth, creamy sensation on the palette. The increased body and longer finish make it a great choice for sipping on its own or pairing with heartier foods.
The taste profile of our Agave spirit is characterised by notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak along with the lingering smoke of the roasted Agave. This contributes to a sweet and warm flavor that can be slightly woody or smoky ,creating a smooth and balanced taste.
You will also notice a subtle spiciness, but it will be more subdued than in our Blanco. The acidity of the Reposado, combined with its body, affects the overall taste profile. The acidity provides a slight tanginess that balances the sweetness of the spirit.
The body of Reposado is typically fuller and richer than the Blanco, due to the aging process. The aging process also imbues the spirit with the notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak.
As you swallow the Reposado, you'll experience the finish, which is the aftertaste that lingers on your tongue. The Reposado typically has a longer finish than our Blanco, with the flavors lingering on your palate for a while. This makes it a great choice for sipping on its own and pairing with heartier foods, as it can stand up to more robust flavors.
The aroma of the Agave spirit is also an important factor in its taste profile. The nose of the spirit is typically characterised by a warm and inviting aroma of oak, with hints of vanilla and caramel. The aroma adds additional depth to the overall taste experience of the spirit.
