Whiskies

It starts with a real classic Oloroso Sherry touch on the nose. Dark burnt sugar, toffee and caramel on the nose first. Fruity touch of poached pears, lots of dried fruit including apricots and raisins then some vanilla. Depth, length and complexity with a lovely layering. Everything is silky smooth and harmonious. Finishes on a suggestion of rich sherry but it stays dry. Lovely deep sherry and roundness – perception of richness plays along but not sweet after all. The alcohol is completely integrated. Complex but subtle and elegant. It is a very good example of a classic sherry cask aged whisky.
