MORE INFORMATION:
Enyi Gold is first enjoyed with your eyes and strong amber tones after which it entices your senses by tickling your nose with scents of vanilla, cloves and cinnamon. As one initially tastes Enyi Gold the combination of the spices infused with the rum which provides an delightful, smooth taste while leaving a sweet and sophisticated aftertaste (while surprisingly not containing any added sugar). Cherishing the approach of traditional rum whilst making it enjoyable and accessible to all - Enyi Gold fulfils its purpose by bringing friends together. Enyi was founded in friendship and a taste for the finer things in life. Our proudly South African, female-owned brand began with a group of socially-minded entrepreneurs with a deep desire to share their love of rum. Inspired by our north African neighbours, the Igbo word 'Enyi' means 'friend'. Enyi is also crafted with these West African origins in mind, paying homage to those who came before us and those who bring us together. We honour early rum makers by producing a mature, cherry wood-aged spirit. A warm cinnamon pallet engrains the rum with hints of vanilla. This is South African craftmanship at its finest. Enyi is a rum for all that's best enjoyed ice ice cold and serviced over good company.

Although Enyi Gold can be enjoyed only accompanied with ice, it has been designed to enhance a number of very different cocktails. These signature cocktails all pair well with different cuisines. Enyi Gold is the base of a beautiful Mai Tai. This can be enjoyed with sweet and sour dishes in Asian style, possibly with a spicy tip. Consider enjoying the Mai Tai with a sticky duck main course served with chilled watermelon, sweet miso and candied cashew nuts. Alternatively the Mai Tai also works well after dinner with the heartwarming familiar taste of peach cobbler. We make a sensational Rum Sour which pairs perfectly with fish ceviche marinated in citrus and oysters. The tartness of the cocktail cuts through the richness of the fish. Finally we would recommend our Espresso Martini to be enjoyed with a host of Italian dishes depending on when in the meal you consuming it. The Martini pairs well with Antipasto misto before your meal, with the rich and savoury main course of chicken parmigiano or with tiramisu to end the evening.
